About the Item
This is a stunning Art Deco silver plate and wood lidded box, meticulously crafted in France circa 1930. The rectangular shape boasts a refined composition, featuring a Macassar wood body, an ornate silver plate metal handle, and an important decorative embossed plaque on the lid. The silver plate decorative ornament features a typical stylized floral Art Deco design and has a "DAC" monogram engraved in the decor. The artist to whom the DAC monogram belongs has not been identified.
