About the Item
This stunning hand-carved modernist Art Deco decorative lidded box was crafted in France circa 1940. The rectangular shape features solid wood and crystal-clear Lucite on the sides, and is adorned with an ornate off-white Galalith stick handle. The original sticker on the underside reads "Bois des Iles Garanti" (French for "Exotic wood guaranteed").
Measurements: 6.13 in wide (15.5 cm) BY 3.94 in deep (10 cm) BY 3.13 in high (8 cm).
