Napoleon III-period papier-mâché and wood marquetry card box with original key. The lid is richly decorated with a polychromatic bunch of flowers in a central medallion with gilt frame, surrounded by gilt flowery branches with mother-of-pearl inlay. The interior has six compartments for gaming chips and cards. Good general condition with light wears to the gillding.
