This fascinating wooden box has a multi-colored arabesque overlay of cut steel, copper, and brass. The interior has a beautiful deep red upholstery, which is a stark contrast to the metallic hued exterior. A traditional box associated with the nomadic Tuareg of northern Africa, this particular item comes from Mauritania.
