About the Item
A rectangular wooden casket with hinged lid, adorned with repoussé pewter panels worked in low relief. The decoration depicts stylized flowers, leaves, and a butterfly among foliage, all set against a textured ground. The borders are further embellished with inset red glass or paste cabochons, providing subtle jeweled accents.
