About the Item

Decorative traditional 19th century hand painted Swedish box circa 1840. We are pleased to offer this strong box from our travels around Scandinavia. Hand painted with yellow florals over a brown painted base colour, original strap work, hinges, working lock and key.  Interior later painted inside for cleaner storage of items. Expected minor surface marks, but in fantastic condition and still ready for every day use after 200 years.
