About the Item
Exceptional Swedish Blue Steel Box, 1920–1930
Stunning sharp lines and bold Art Deco forms, featuring a brass knob.
The entire box is masterfully lathe-worked in steel, with substantial weight.
An extraordinary example of Swedish design and industrial craftsmanship.
The way the light hits the blued steel surface reveals shifting tones of deep blue and black, almost like an oil pattern, with a beautiful, rich patina.
The box is made of blued steel — a material also used in rifle barrels within the arms industry.
Truly a rare piece.
Unknown maker.
