About the Item
French exotic wood tobacco pot made circa 1960-1970.
This type of jar was used to keep tobacco in a summer of ideal humidification. This explains the presence of the small plastic box with holes in which the smoker put a moistened sponge. Today, you can use it as such or as a container for whatever you want, jewelry, candy, etc. In the latter case, the sponge box can be easily removed.
The original shape of the jar can be reminiscent of an ice cream.
