A nice olive burl wood Italian cigarette or dresser box with original label by Argenteria Alignani. The top of the box is silver-plate and the sides have copper edging. Beautifully detailed. The label refers to the work of the Italian silversmiths Fratelli Alignani (Brothers Alignani) and, in a broader sense, to the Italian silversmith company Fabbrica Italiana Argenterie di Alignani Pasquale. Milan c1940 with original label. 7.75"w x 5.25"d x 1.5"h
