About the Item

Mid 19th century Swedish painted pine strong box circa 1840. Fine example of a small strong box which people used to keep their valuable's safe in. Rustic made from shaped pine, original hinges and with working lock and original key.  Protective strap work, which does have some old historical repairs.  Painted black which looks to be original. Good quality decorative item, which still functions today. Expecting minor losses to woodwork and paint.
