About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown rich persimmon orange over white, controlled bubbles and gold flecks Italian art glass candy container or vanity jewelry box. The piece has a beautiful clear and gold leaf pear top decoration at the top. The container has a bulbous, almost pumpkin shape, with "Bullicante" technique bubbles all-over. The surface is profusely covered in gold leaf. The gold gather in and around the bubbles, making them stand out. Still retains a well preserved import gallery label underneath, which reads "An Original Creation By - KB - Made In Italy". Created in the manner of designer Alfredo Barbini and the Barovier e Toso company. Would make a great display piece on any coffee table, dresser or credenza. Use it as a catchall, or fill it with cookies and candy. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. Measures 7 1/2" across x 6" tall.
