A stunning example of late 19th-century craftsmanship, this antique sterling silver calling card case was made in 1895 by the renowned London silversmith William Comyns. Finely cast in high-relief repoussé, the case features an intricate Rococo design with scrolling foliage, floral motifs, and playful cherubs, all surrounding a blank central cartouche ideal for personalisation.
This highly decorative Victorian card case reflects the elegance and social customs of the period, when calling cards were a symbol of sophistication and status.
