About the Item
Art Deco period Puiforcat, a square covered biscuit box, cut crystal, sterling silver lid, jadeite handle. The piece is fully stamped and hall marked. The craftmanship is exquisite, excellent silver weight, elegant stylised shapes evocative of early Jean Puiforcat designs circa 1925 .
The total weight is 2024g: crystal box 1742g, lid 282g.
In very well kept original condition, the crystal presents small air bubbles aswell as small impurities, these are consistent with early 20th century workshop production.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Very good condition, the stamped silver marks are partially rubbed , they are identifiable under a magnifying glass. Stamps are located at the base of the handle and the border of the lid: EP in a lozenge and Minerva head 1 .
