About the Item

Rare antique blue box in folk art from Sweden made during the mid 1800s. The box is an attractive size and can be used for anything from storing documents and stationary to perfume and jewellery. The box is made in painted pine and has the original untouched paint. The blue paint has faded slightly and shifts tones towards white in places which creates a charming patina. The interior is wood bare and has never been painted. There is also a small compartment for the stationary. The height goes from 20 to 13 cm.
