Hand-painted and lacquered box. The illustration is maned "Morning in a Pine Forest" and it represents a bear family the mother and three little bears playing in the forest.
Fedoskino miniature painting is a traditional Russian miniature painting lacquered on papier-mâché, named after its center of origin, Fedoskino, a village near Moscow that has been widely known since the late 18th century. Contemporary Fedoskino painting retains the typical characteristics of Russian folk art.
