About the Item

A lovely vanity box crafted out of Calamander with brass inlay. It is by the prestigious British firm Sampson Mordan Co of London. The utensils feature mother of pearl handles and the tops of the bottles are Sterling Silevr and hallmarked for London and 1854. The set appears complete and is in good condition except some of the teeth of the comb are broken. The box itself is in good condition except there is a crack to the top, pictured. Some fading to the back veneer as well. The box is marked S. Mordan Co London on the lock along with Patent pending.
