Rare small nickel-plated bronze casket, dating from the 19th century, decorated with a fascinating iconographic program: the Twelve Apostles paired with the Zodiac signs. It recalls medieval reliquaries, such as 9th-century ivory caskets, where the Apostles were framed beneath arcatures, each surmounted by Zodiac signs—an artistic device underlining cosmic order and spiritual harmony.
