Rectangular box fitted with a hinged side door opening to two interior drawers, each with recessed brass pulls. The exterior is veneered with strongly figured wood panels framed by fine line inlay, with darkened edging outlining the case. The top is flat and plain, and the door retains its original key escutcheon. Interior construction is straightforward, with sliding drawers housed within the compartment.
