About the Item
Here is a very handsome tessellated box in a rich, amber-colored pen shell material. The box is hinged and lined with a black felt-like material. This box is in very good condition with only minor wear commensurate with age and light use. We are attributing this box to Maitland Smith, but it's also similar to pieces designed by Muriel Rudolph, who had a product line named The Rudolph Collection. This box is beautifully decorative but also highly functional--it could be used for jewelry storage, as a catch-all, for remote controls or whatever else needs to be stashed away.
