An antique Top-Hat designed by the Brooks Brothers.
This is an antique black Top-Hat, retailed by the Brooks Brother Company in Madison Avenue, back in the 1920's. The hat is very well made with no traces of use and is presented in the original fitted cardboard box from the company. The hat was made in very fine black silk.
Weight: All together, is about 3 pounds, (1.36 Kg).
Hat size: Medium, 71/8.
Measurements of box: 381 mm by 318 mm by 165 mm (15 x 12.5 x 6.5 Inches).
Measurements of hat: 305 mm by 305 mm by 152 mm (12 x 12 x 6 Inches).
Signatures: The box lettering is as follow; "BROOKS BROTHERS ESTABLISHED 1818 CLOTHING MENS FURNISHINGS, HAT
SHOES". Top Hat, "MADISON AVENUE COR. FORTY-FOUR STREET NEW YORK".
Collateral: This top-hat is accompanied by the Brooks Brothers presentation-storage fitted box.
Condition: The overall condition of this top-hat is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silk. All parts are secured and the box is in pretty good shape. These pieces were carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
