About the Item

An Italian Mid Century Modern Murano Yellow Amber "Sommerso" Art Glass jewelry trinket box attributed to Mandruzzato. The box is cased in heavy clear glass with yellow and amber sommerso decoration further fitted with its original gilt brass fittings. The box is unsigned - circa 1960s. Measurements: height: 3.25 in. x width: 5.25 in. x depth: 3.25 in. Condition: There are no chips, nicks or cracks to the glass. Hinge is strong and solid. There is some minor pitting on the brass band but not much. A minor internal manufacturing bubble/flaw on one internal corner. Some light scratches as to be expected from normal wear on the underside. Please note that these are only perceptible on close inspection and does affect the overall impression of this box. The box is quite stunning and highly attractive in person and is functional.
