First time we have come across this! Exceptionally beautiful English jewellery/jewellery box with music playing when opened. This is an English jewellery box from ca. 1820-1860. With Swiss mechanism built in. When opening the box, a pin detects the opening after which it starts playing. There is a nub under the box to wind it up, so to speak.
