Vermeil Vanity Case with Dog Motif, Germany, ca. 1910–1925
Refined early 20th-century silver vanity case by Louis Kuppenheim, crafted in Germany circa 1910–1925 and decorated with a charming high-relief depiction of a long-haired dog on the lid. Executed in silver with original vermeil accents, the piece shows the meticulous repoussé and chased work characteristic of Kuppenheim’s workshop. The interior opens to reveal its original hinged compartments. A fine example of Belle Époque personal accessories, combining craftsmanship, whimsy, and the elegance typical of luxury German silver from this period.
