The case is crafted from wood with a two-tone design, pairing dark brown drawer fronts with contrasting white trim and square pulls. Each drawer is lined in bright red felt, providing a protective interior for storing jewelry or other small valuables. The chest retains its original maker's label on the underside, reading "Created by M..M. Lador Inc New York, Made in Japan." Known for their jewelry boxes and decorative storage pieces, Lador Inc produced distinctive designs during the mid-20th century with a modernist aesthetic. This example shows minor surface wear consistent with age and use, but overall remains in good vintage condition.
