A beautiful porcelain box with urn vase, sheaf-of-wheat, and bird design, circa mid-20th century. Box lid with gold urn vase and sheaf-of-wheat foliage, and two birds on either side - beautiful design, including gold design on front and back sides of box. A great box for a vanity, dresser, desk, etc., to hold small items, jewelry (demonstrated), etc. Japan is known for its fine porcelain. Marked on underside as shown in last image. No chips noted. Box is a niece size, not too big, not too small. Dimensions: 3.88" Depth x 4.75" Width.
