Wonderful designs and great condition set of tramp-art boxes. If you are a collector of tramp art or if you are looking for a unique way to decorate a part of your room then this beautiful set of four handcrafted boxes from the mid 1800s could be the perfect addition to your home or collection. Both in terms of design and execution these four unique tramp art boxes are among the best and coolest looking we have ever seen. Different people (most likely men) around 1850-1880 spent a very long time 'on the drawing board' at first and then hand carving and putting all the individual wooden pieces together. These works of (folk) art were used as jewelry boxes, sewing boxes, travel boxes etc. Three of them have a perfect working lock and key. The fourth one opens with a lid and never had a lock. If you already have a place or space in mind for these rare and striking antiques from mid 19th century Europe then maybe you should be their next custodian. They will also look great in a vitrine or on a shelf.
