As found in France, a charming set of two hand-carved wooden Breton style boxes. Breton is a type of French antique furniture from the Brittany region in France. The Breton style is characterized by ornate carvings, often featuring symbolic motifs such as ship's wheels as seen in both of these. The smaller box appears to be a vintage cigar box, while the larger box could be a jewelry box or a similar storage container. Wonderful piece to add to a collection of these highly collectable boxes.
