Silvered metal jewelry box – Late 19th Century Lovely silvered metal jewelry box, French or German work, circa 1880–1910. The lid features a finely detailed high-relief scene with two pheasants in a woodland landscape. Grapevine and foliage frieze around the sides, with Art Nouveau influence. Set on four ball feet. Interior lined with old pink silk and purple velvet on the base. Hinge in good working order. Size: • Height: 4.5 cm (1.8 in) • Width: 8 cm (3.15 in) • Depth: 6 cm (2.36 in)
