About the Item

Dovedale — has created three different sized watch boxes. Collection Nr3, three watch box made from hardened glass and a solid bog-oak wood frame. Detailed with brass finger joints and hinges. Each product houses, three watches at a time. They have plump sand pillows to hold your watch collection in place. The Dovedale logo is subtly etched on the side of the glass. This is a timeless piece that makes a great present for a recent watch collector. The wood we have selected for this project is an indigenous, bog oak from the north of Cambridgeshire. This wood is thousands of years old, with some pieces dating back to 3000 B.C. Submerged in anaerobic conditions the oak reacts with the minerals and acids in the soil to develop its stunning character and unique colouration. Our boxes are constructed using solid bog oak with traditional horn finger joints as the detail. They are then treated with light Danish oil, enhancing the natural hue of the wood.
