Striking American Tramp Art jewelry or decorative box, hand-carved in reclaimed softwood with bold stepped geometric chip carving, circa 1890–1915.
The lid is topped with an olive green velvet fabric, offering a beautiful contrast with the warm aged patina of the wood.
The carving displays bold, deeply cut notches arranged in perfectly stacked architectural tiers.
A beautiful object with a strong sculptural presence !
Rare and highly decorative example of authentic American Tramp Art — perfect for collectors and lovers of folk craftsmanship.
Please Note : Good antique condition with a stable age-related fissure to the underside of the box, visible in the last photo.
