Heading : Tunbridge ware jewellery box by Robert Vorley

Decoration : The cover with asymetrically arranged red admiral (larger) and Orange tip butterflies within keylines. The box is made of 12 different woods against a white ebony background and Vorley utilised more than 5280 tesserae. Signed Robert Vorley 2022 to base.

Mr Robert Vorley is the only current exponent of Tunbridge Ware worthy of the name, and worked with absolutely authentic, period methods of manufacture. Now in to his eighties, the work of this former architectural model-maker will never be surpassed.
