About the Item
Especially rare in this gorgeous ivory glaze, this perfectly proportioned fluted, covered jar was produced by the famed Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1937. Produced as a commemorative piece for the Western and Southern Legion, the cover depicts a helmeted legionnaire and a classic fasces.
