About the Item

This is a joyful novelty- a Black Forest hand-carved Terrier box. A beautifully executed piece with exceptional detail, right down to the tail. This terrier’s hind legs are attached to the base with a spring mechanism so when you pull the body back, the rounded lid opens. Bears are the most commonly depicted animal in similar carvings, making animals such as dogs much more rare and unique.
