CARL HEISS - Antique - finest quality - silver and rose gold hinged snuff box with delicate diamond tooled surface - reverse painted French Bulldog on Rock Crystal Intaglio (often called 'Essex Crystal') - bezel set in rose gold and backed with mother-of-pearl then mounted to the center top of the box - blue Sapphire thumb piece (approx. .40 carats - 5.5 x 3 x 2.5 mm.) - gold wash and Vienna hallmarks to the interior (.900 silver) - signed on the base - CARL HEISS WEIN GRABEN 11 - Austria - circa 1880. Excellent antique condition - minor indents surface scratches to the silver that come with age use - no loss - no restoration - original finish - tarnishing of the metal surfaces. Size - 3 3/4" Wide x 2 3/4" Deep x 1 1/4" High. Total Weight - 152 grams.
