A fine antique English tea caddy. In sterling silver. By Crichton Bros. With shaped sides having 4 convex ridges. Marked to the lid with English hallmarks and to the base with additional marks. Simply a wonderful antique English silver tea caddy! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are light dings and indentions to the body throughout, some edge wear, some fine light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Crichton Bros. Marks: Marked to the lid with English hallmarks: LAC for Lionel Alfred Crichton / lion passant for sterling / leopard for London / O for 1929. Marked to the base for Crichton Co Ltd. / Made in England, and with an inscribed A401 / No.4C.
