About the Item
Impressive English Georgian Sheraton Period Flame Grain Satinwood Double Tea Caddy of outstanding quality and workmanship and compact size. Circa 1800-20.
The hinged lid cross banded in satinwood, fabulously inlaid with a central diamond shaped Tumbridgewear style inlay decoration, all areas are decorated with satinwood stringing.
Condition: Good condition with nice patination and no losses, almost all the lead lining inside has worn away. Lock is present, a later key is also present but does not activate the lock.
Height: (entire) 4" (10.25cm). Width: (at top rim) 7.25" (18.5cm). Depth: 4.5” (11.5cm).
