About the Item
An exceptional double chamber tea caddy with geometric parquetry panels with crossbanded edges. Each of the four sides of serpentine form and raised on a conforming plinth base edged with a brass molding. The slightly domed lid with serpentine edges and brass molding opens to a brass inlaid ebony interior, inside two brass inlaid ebony lids enclose the tea chambers which contain secondary lids which rest on the surface of the tea.
