About the Item
This very fine
relatively heavy sterling silver tea caddy is of timeless design, showing an oval shaped canister decorated with an elegant reeded border to both the shoulder
base, the neck fitted with a snug-fitting removable cap, exhibiting a fine polished surface overall.
Both the body
cap bearing London hallmarks and date marks for 1908 together with maker’s marks for George
Charles Asprey, who are one of the most highly regarded
longest standing silversmith firms in the United Kingdom.
Weight, 229 grams (7.36 troy ounces).
Asprey has enjoyed a continuous span of business since 1781 and are recognized worldwide as both manufacturers
purveyors of luxury items of the highest quality that include silver, jewelry, leather goods and other fine accessories.
