About the Item

More information coming soon… The Napoleon III style motifs are fairly evident on these beautiful gilt bronze candelabras. The three sconces sit atop a rising rinceaux of acanthus leaves, which are affixed to the top of lion mascarons joined by a swag. Other motifs include large parted leaves, dolphins, scrolls, and gadroon.

    Additions or alterations made to the original: The candelabras were electrified at one point, but the wiring has since been removed. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Good antique condition. Commensurate wax buildup, although candelabras were later electrified (since removed). Very light gilding losses. Constructed piece-by-piece, leading to loose elements and one with slight tilt, although both are sturdy.
