About the Item
This exquisite pair of late 19th-century Louis XVI-style six-arm candelabras is crafted from bronze and adorned with stunning rock crystal. Each candelabra features six gracefully curved arms ending in candle holders, with bases subtly engraved with acanthus leaves—a motif symbolizing immortality, popular during the era.
The bronze bases are created using the lost wax casting technique, known for its ability to produce highly detailed and intricate designs. Suspended from the decorative arms are an array of crystal rosettes and magnificent rock crystal prisms, whose natural optical properties allow light to dazzle and dance beautifully.
The rock crystals are made from white quartz with delicate veining and natural inclusions, distinguishing them as authentic gemstones. Unlike typical man-made crystals, which combine glass with lead and other oxides, these candelabras feature genuine quartz, historically treasured since Ancient Greece. The Greeks believed quartz to be ice so frozen it wouldn’t melt, naming it "krystallos," the origin of the word "crystal." The only synthetic elements are the smaller connecting beads and rosettes, while the prominent teardrop crystals are pure white quartz.
Inspired by the last King of France, the Louis XVI style is characterized by classical ornamentation and a revival of Greek aesthetics. These intricately designed candelabras epitomize elegance and offer a unique and opulent touch.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. 1 cup has a unique tone. The crystal cylinder covering the metal stem on one candelabra features a minor chip at the bottom. Another chip on the same cylinder has been expertly glued to ensure stability and prevent further damage.
