About the Item

Set of 4 Swedish Modernist candle holders by Gunnar Ander. Produced by Ystad-Metall, located in the town of Ystad in Sweden. Candle-holders in solid, polished brass on a base of clear glass with an irregular surface pattern. Glas shades in different colors, green, purple and two different shades of red. These candle holders are foreseen for tea-lights. All are signed signed with the Ystad Metall logotype and the stylized initials of Gunnar Ander. Gunnar Ander is a Swedish artist born in 1908. He created many objects in metal and glass which are represented in museums in Sweden. He collaborated with Ystad Metall until his death in 1976.

Condition:
Wear consistent with age and use. Nice state, light patina to the brass, see photographs. One red glass shade has a chip at the base, this is not visible when placed on the candle-holder.
