Antique copper police/ railroad / boat signal lantern / hand lamp. Features cylindrical body style, fluted cone shaped chimney top, and rear handles of a typical dark lantern but no internal shutter for hiding the light. Fixed rectangular bail handle on top. Thick ridged bulls eye glass lens. Front with lens opens via wire latch. Removable oil reservoir and wick. Attributed to Nippon Sento Co, LTD of Tokyo Japan.
