About the Item
Adorable and very rare candle holder, L163 candle holder by Hans-Agne Jakobsson Markaryd from the 1950s.
The base is in white glass with a brass candle holder.
The lampshade is in finely perforated brass with small holes through which the light is diffused.
Time has passed on the lampshade which has slight discoloration and a few cracks, but which gives it all the charm of a vintage and extremely rare object.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
