About the Item
Hanukkah Lamp is interestingly made with many different classical shapes and parts.
At top, a pierced fleur de-lis surmounted on scrolling rails is mounted atop a similarly pierced backplate attached to the main frame.
Each square lamp compartment has a spade-shaped cup protruding at front and is suspended over the lower structural drip pan.
Both ends of the lower structure have a heart-shaped design attached with parson-formed holders at its sides.
Hanukkah lamp rests on four legs two at front which resemble a corner base and two behind in a curved rail design.

The backplate is cast and pierced with a central two-handled vase of flowers, flanked by fully formed birds with their heads turned outward. The side panels fitted with two servant lights, fronted by a row of eight oil fonts. Scholars theorize that these Polish Chanukah Lamps that bear two servant lights (as opposed to the singular servant light normally found on a Chanukah Lamp), served a purpose, having been used on one of the days that Chanukah fell on the Sabbath, as Sabbath Candlesticks.
