About the Item
A pair of elephant candle sconces in cast bronze. Regency style with a hint of colonial fauna. Each elephant head has a twisted gilt bronze candle holder suspended from its trunk. Use them with large church, ball or block candles. They were made in either Italy or France circa 1960-70 and may have been bespoke/made for a special occasion or place. They have no apparent markings but show signs of age and patination.
Measurements: H: 36 cm, W: 19 cm, Dept: 23 cm, Candle holder height: 20 cm.
