About the Item
A pair of Scandinavian modern pewter candlesticks designed by Edvin Ollers and produced by Schreuder
Olsson, Sweden.
Both candlesticks are fully stamped to the underside, including the Gjutet Tenn mark, the Schreuder
Olsson maker’s mark, the OLLERS designer stamp, and date codes. One pair is dated 1971, while the second available pair is dated 1977 and 1979 respectively, reflecting continued production of this successful model during the 1970s.
The design features a sculptural, balustered form with a broad stepped base and flared drip tray, executed in solid pewter with a soft matte finish. The surfaces show an even, natural patina with minor wear consistent with age and use.
