A beautifully sculpted pair of mid-century Swedish wall sconces designed by Gösta Ahrneberg in the 1950s.
These elegant pieces combine black lacquered solid wood with curved brass candle arms, resulting in a refined, architectural silhouette characteristic of Swedish modernism.
Each sconce features a long, tapered wooden backplate with a central brass rod extending into a gently arched brass arm, ending in a conical candle holder with a green-patinated interior. The contrast between the matte black wood and the warm brass adds both depth and sculptural presence.
Stamped “MADE IN SWEDEN” on the brass fitting on the back.
A rare and finely crafted example of Scandinavian decorative arts from the period—perfect for adding warmth, character, and mid-century elegance to any interior.
