An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Baltic silver candlesticks; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection
These exceptional antique silver candlesticks have a baluster, circular rounded form.
The Baltic* candlesticks have waisted shaped capitals encircled with bands of thread decoration.
The knopped cast silver columns are plain and embellished with further thread decoration.
The rim of each domed circular base features the contemporary engraved inscription 'MvS'.
These impressive antique silver candlesticks do not have weighted bases.
These exceptional candlesticks have been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as sterling silver (925, 925/1000).
* The Baltic nations (also known as the Baltic republics or abbreviated to the Baltics) is a term used for the group of three sovereign states the Northern European which line the Baltic Sea: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

These antique Baltic silver candlesticks are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The hallmarks struck to the rim of each base are all clear.

These exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver candlesticks have a circular rounded form.
The plain cylindrical capital of each silver candlestick is plain and encircled with an applied moulded border to the rim.
The capitals retain the original hallmarked push fit sconces, ornamented to the rim with chased leaf decoration.
The waisted column of each candlestick is embellished with chased leaf decoration to a large compressed circular knop, in addition to leaf motifs enveloping the lower portion.
These impressive columns surmountcircular spreading bases, each ornamented with four large palmette style leaf designs, with further applied foliate decoration to the rim.
