An exceptional, fine and impressive set of four of antique George V English sterling silver piano candlesticks; an addition to our antique silverware collection.
These exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver piano candlesticks have a cylindrical form onto a square spreading base.
The Corinthian capital of each retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit sconce, ornamented with an embossed bead decorated border to the rim.
The capitals are supported by a classic column, encircled with vertical fluted decoration.
The lower portion of each column features a plain rounded knop to a spreading square base.
The surface of the bases are each ornamented with embossed scrolling leaf and stylised bud swag designs.
The rims are encompassed with bead decoration above further fluted designs, reflecting that of the column.
Each of these impressive sterling silver piano candle holders have weighted bases and bear green baize coverings to the undersides.
Condition
These antique silver candle holders are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
Each component has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each base and part hallmarks to each sconce sleeve are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique silverware.

These impressive antique 1930s English sterling silver candlesticks have a plain subtly tapering columnar form.
The impressive Corinthian capital of each retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit sconce ornamented with embossed bead decoration to the rim.
