About the Item

Arne Jacobsen for Stelton — Cylinda Line Candlesticks, 1964 Denmark, 1964 Dimensions: H 4.4 cm × D 5.0 cm (H 1.73 in × D 1.97 in) Materials: Brushed stainless steel (18/8) Marked: “Stelton Stainless 18/8 Denmark” on the underside These elegant stainless steel candlesticks were designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1964 as part of his iconic Cylinda Line for Stelton, Denmark. True to Jacobsen’s uncompromising modernist vision, the design is reduced to its purest geometric form — a perfect cylinder in satin-finished steel. Minimal yet profoundly architectural, this model captures the timeless Scandinavian balance of form and function. The Cylinda Line was originally conceived as a complete series of table accessories for modern living and has since become a cornerstone of 20th-century design. Each piece reflects Jacobsen’s background as both architect and designer, integrating precision, proportion, and clarity of line. Produced by Stelton, renowned for its collaboration with leading Danish designers, these candlesticks exemplify the company’s dedication to craftsmanship and material honesty. This particular model is no longer in production, making it a rare and collectible addition to any design-focused interior or Scandinavian design collection. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with light signs of use consistent with age. The candlesticks will be shipped insured overseas. Cost of transport to the US is Euro 45. Wear consistent with age and use. Colors may slightly vary due to photographic lighting sources or your monitor settings.
